These pictures are from the July 24th, 2013 Pony Swim at Chincoteague Island, Virginia. On a warm summer morning a menacing thunderstorm moved in at the last moment with heavy rain, lightning and thunder but did not hinder the Saltwater Cowboys from their mission to get the ponies across the channel from Assateague Island to Chincoteague Island.
